Here are some things which you could say I desire that I have not yet purchased.
Fire Brick (soft brick type) Splits - preferably 9 x 4.5 x 1.25 or 9 x 4.5 x 1.5
At the moment I need 1, however these are soft and I have already beaten the heck out of the one I have so lets say 3.
My current setup has the bricks at about 1 1/4 inch or so, so the second website is too thick for the soft ones. But they ARE soft so I might be able to cut them down with one of my saws.
Rounding Hammer - Blu 5
Garland Hammer: These darned things last for bleeping ever which is why you never see them for sale on ebay used.
Garland 35003 split head hammer. One face rawhide and one face brass or copper.
A piece of steel 36 inches x 36 inches (or 36 inches round) at least 12 gauge (1/8 inch) thick. I don't know where you would find it and for that matter I don't know how the heck I'm gonna heat it to make it take the shape I want. This is in no way a near term project. More in the nature of "I eventually want a coal fired forge."
1/2 ton of blacksmith coal (bitumous will do but it HAS to be smithing coal.) If it is not smithing coal the sulfur content will be too high and smithing with it is VERY difficult due to contaminants. Put this on way on the back burner because I think I may have just found a source locally. Well I did find a local source..... kinda. The tractor supply place in pine bluff can get it but they insist I buy a pallet (40 bags). I only want a few since I do not even have a coal fired forge at the moment (the 36 inch steel sheet is gonna become a forge).
planishing hammer. (Not the pneumatic kind, the kind you hold in your hand.)
Welding shirt: -- 3XL -- I really like my welding shirt but its a tad too small. Why do I need a larger? Because this garment is worn OVER your pants and hanging down so hot metal won't get to mix with your underwear. My current shirt is too short, stopping short of the beltline. I have on one occasion invented a creative dance when a piece of hot metal got between my pants and my body and was briefly stuck there. I currently have a 2xl and I want a 3xl.
FR - Depot (stands for flame retardant depot) Nice wide selection. Khaki is fine. 3XL - Long is optimum size. .
I like really big snaps with one snap per sleeve (not 3 snaps, 3 is for dress shirts, one is for work) but you can't always get what you want.
Rasco - is evidently a good brand.
Lincoln: K-3113 (black) K3382 (khaki) I would prefer the khaki if you can get the size.
